60 Bed Modular Ward Block at University Hospital, Limerick

About the Project:

Fallon Consulting Engineers (DFCE) are delighted to be assisting with the delivery of a new 60 bed ward block at the very busy University Hospital Limerick in Dooradoyle, just outside Limerick City Centre.

The project consists of a 4/5 storey modular construction, prefabricated offsite by the main contractor, Western Building Systems. The project is being delivered in a rapid build timeline, with works commenced on site in late 2019 and are expected to be completed by November 2020.

DFCE are acting as Assigned Certifier on this project, on behalf of the client, HSE West Estates Department. The main contractor is Western Building Systems, and the design team includes O’Brian Beary Architects, Barrett Mahony Consulting Engineers, Varming Consulting Engineers, and BB7 acting as fire safety consultants.
